Thoughts: 17-April-2009

Just saw on TV.com, that someone is reporting that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be cancelled by Fox. No official word from Fox, but it is a highly reliable source according to TV.com. Not really surprised here.

Dollhouse will have an unaired episode and episode 12 will be the season finale. Fox has some convoluted reasoning that Whedon made an extra episode that that it will be on the DVD set. A set I have no interest in buying. Looks like Dollhouse is on its way out.

CSI had a great episode at a SF conference spoofing the classic Star Trek series and the Battlestar Galactica remake. A couple of the Lab Rats, Hodges and Wendy got a chance to shine and reenact some classic Jim Kirk moments. CSI is always trying something different and that is why it is number one. What a seamless transition from Peterson to Fishbourne. And how quickly Fishbourne made himself a member of the cast. I love this show and I love the fact that Hodges got to shine.

Bones last night had the return of Dr. Gordon Gordon played by Stephen Fry. Fry was part of a classic comedy team with Hugh Laurie and together they were quite good in Jeeves and Wooster with Fry playing Jeeves. He returns, partly to remind me that he would have been so much better than Sweets, and also to make Sweets a tad more acceptable. Fry must not have wanted to commit to a 22 American TV show season, I know Laurie is not happy with his workload on House. Now Fry needs to guest star on House and reunite with his old comedy partner.

Oh well.
