Thoughts: 14-April-2009

I keep forgetting a new L Word Interrogation tape premieres each Monday on Showtime.com. This week Bette comes up to bat and her big secret? She wanted to conceive and carry the second child that Tina and her wanted, but Tina did not ask her and went the adoption route instead. Now I know why I keep forgetting, no real secrets advancing the case of Who Killed Jenny?

Starlog after 33 years is ending its print magazine and will be an online magazine. Starlog covered the world of science fiction and actually covered written SF and not just TV and movies. Starlog along with its sister publication Fangoria, did a nice job covering the niche left open by the death of the Warren Famous Monsters of Filmland. Now with the Internet and publications like Rue Morgue ruling the newsstand, Starlog is dead and Fangoria is being published by someone else.

Last night on House, it appeared that folks had recovered from dealing with the aftereffects of Kunter's suicide, then House started to have a hallucination of Amber, Wilson's girlfriend who died while trying to get House home after a night of drinking. I first thought that Kunter should be the hallucination, but Kal Penn is no longer around so they bring Amber back. Have to wait two weeks though, Fox has an excess of Bones episodes to show.

By the way, Bones is a great show, and the more the merrier, about fraking time Fox started to show them.

24 had a soap opera twist last night, Tony went from bad to undercover good and now bad again, killing Larry the FBI agent. Poor Larry, as soon as he acknowledge that Jack was right, he gets killed. I am looking forward to the battle royale between Jack and Tony to rival the fight Jack had with a terrorist in season 2. That is where he fights this guy, an hour after suffering from a near fatal heart attack, grabs his head and jumping/strolling along the side of a wall for leverage snaps his neck. Tony, better watch out.

Oh well.
