Thoughts: 10-April-2009

Today is Good Friday and when I was growing up, my mother would not let us have any meat, instead we got fish sticks. Usually I go out of my way to eat a nice steak or some other piece of meat today, but it did not work out this year.

American Chopper started its new season last night and the big talk on the Internet is that Senior fired Junior from the company. Of course Junior supposedly owns 10% of the company so I don't know what being fired means. Sounds like a staged fight to give this show a ratings boost. On the official OCC website, Junior's picture is still there and he will still be on American Chopper.

American Chopper was interesting when they showed you how bikes were made. We got to see how parts were chromed, and what powder coating was all about. Once they exhausted the topics that they can cover, it has become just boring comedy. TLC should pull the plug.

The Eleventh Hour season finale made the top 20 list at number 20 according to the latest Entertainment Weekly. Should bode well for a renewal.

Also by surfing the net, I discovered that Kal Penn (who played Kutner on House) is joining Obama's administration by taking a job in the White House Office of Public Liaison. That explains the suicide, he needed to be written out of the show. I liked his character a lot and he did a really good job on House. Good luck in the White House.

Lie to Me and Bones will be on Fox's summer schedule as reported by the Futon Critic. This looks good for a renewal for both shows. Let's hope so.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has the season finale tonight, during which we get an extended look at the Christian Bale Terminator movie that is coming out this summer. TV.com has speculated that if the movie does well, this show may get renewed.

To the powers that be at Fox TV. Renew Lie to Me and Bones and please cancel the Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse.

Oh well.
